Hi! We’re Erin and Liz, two moms on a mission to change the way kids—and maybe even adults—experience math. As former elementary classroom teachers with PhDs in education, we’ve spent years studying and teaching math, and now we’re here to share that knowledge and passion with you.

We started The Math Happiness Project because we noticed something troubling. Many adults feel a disconnect between the way they learned math in school and how their children are learning it now. It can feel overwhelming, and parents often wonder how they can best support their kids in this new math landscape.

We get it. We’ve seen it firsthand, both as teachers and as parents. That’s why we’re committed to helping bridge this gap by offering tools and resources that empower families. Our goal is to make math fun, accessible, and less intimidating for everyone—parents included! With our guidance, you’ll be equipped to support your children’s growth into excited, confident, and capable mathematicians.

We know that when families are involved and feel comfortable, students are more likely to succeed in school. The Math Happiness Project is here to help make that happen. Let’s change the narrative around math and create a future where math is something families enjoy together.
